October 31

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a good weekend. My card today was pretty easy to create. The black spider web cut out comes from a package of die cuts I found on sale after Halloween last year. I just cut it down to the size I wanted and added the orange glittery frame that I die cut from some SB rectangle dies. The new October 31 square was stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink, cut out and layered on the same orange glitter paper.

I added the Wishing I was with Ya greeting on the inside, stamping it with VersaMark ink and embossing with white EP. I did the same thing for the two spider webs and the card is complete.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you find some time to get inky today!

Drop in for a spell!

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a good weekend and found some time to get inky! My card today features a couple of new Halloween stamps: Drop in for a Spell and the Bubbling Beaker.

I started with black CS, stamped the new greeting and Magic potion shelf with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with detailed white EP. The Bubbling Beaker was stamped with Memento Black ink onto white CS, colored with Copics and fussy cut. The black panel was punched with a spider web border punch before attaching it to the purple CS and then the black CS. The ribbon, button and Bubbling Beaker were then added to the panel.

Inside I stamped the Magic Potion Shelf with TH Distress Oxide ink. I smudged the ink and had to do something to hide my mistake. I used a brush and some water to grab the smudged ink and moved it around to color underneath the shelf.

What's Brewing?

Hi!  Today I get to share some new Halloween images with you from DRS Designs. I think you're going to like them.

I started with kraft CS, die cut the window, then stamped the new Brewing up a Wicked Halloween greeting (308F) along with the accent bats image using Versafine Black Onyx ink. I used the same die to cut out the window on the black layer as well as the white card base. With a pencil I outlined where the burning cauldron image should go and then stamped the image on the inside with Memento Black ink and colored it up with some Copic markers. On the inside I also added a few more accent bats as well as the new Drop in for a spell greeting.(327D)

My second card is more on the whimsical side.

The grassy hills were die cut with some Fawn Lawn dies and attached to the black panel after it was stamped with the spooky eyes background image and heated embossed with white EP. The new Happy Haunting to All image (310F) was stamped with Memento Black ink, colored with some Copics as well as TH Distress Oxide inks and fussy cut. I used clear Nuvo Dew Drops on the hat's buckle for some shine. The pumpkins are part of the larger peculiar pumpkin patch image. Once colored with copics it was fussy cut and tucked behind the first hill.  Some Happy Halloween ribbon completes the look.

Inside I stamped the entire Peculiar Pumpkin Patch image with TH Distress Oxide ink. These peculiar pumpkins make me smile every time I see them.

These new images and more will soon be available at DRS Designs on line store. Be sure to check the blog each day to see more of these new images and what the DT members have created.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping!

Tuesday Morning Sketch

Today's card is for this week's sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I'm not sure if I followed the sketch closely enough though. We'll see.  Here's the fantastic sketch:

And here's my card:

I needed a birthday card for a friend who turned 50 this week. I'm heading off to her party in just a few minutes and needed a card for this special celebration. Instead of putting the flowers on the top portion of the card, I stamped on the bottom and keep the top clear for the sentiment which I stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white EP. The flowers were stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink and Nuvo Crystal drops were used for the centers of the flowers and a few random spots outside of the flowers. The border was made with a MS Punch around the page punch that I've had for years and rarely use. I think my friend will like this card. All stamps are by DRS Designs.

Thanks TMS for another fun sketch and challenge!

Boots and bling

Happy Monday Everyone. I have a quick and easy card to share with you today featuring the new little Lasso Cowgirl and Boots and Bling Greeting. Isn't she the cutest little thing?

I started by stamping her on white CS with Memento Black ink, colored her with Copics and then die cut and layered her on another die cut panel. The greeting was stamped in two parts, die cut with a stitched oval die. Some Distress ink was sponged around the edges to give some definition. I added some rhinestone stars to the greetings and then to the stars on her hat and belt. The white panel was embossed with a Darice starts folder, layered onto pink CS and then attached to a white card base.

My granddaughters would love this card!

Thanks for stopping by today.
