Birthday Greetings

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend and had some time to get creative. I have several birthdays coming up this month and next, so I've been working on Birthday cards. I was in Virginia last week and my daughter took me to an AC Moore store where I found the dies to create this tiered cake. I thought it would make a fun birthday cake, so...

I started with some water color paper and stamped the Script Font background image with versamark ink, heat embossed it with white EP and then sponged on some TH Distress Oxide inks. While that dried I die cut the cake layers and tray. I used some of the same distress inks to color the frosting and candle. The small Birthday greeting was stamped with Versafine Onyx ink, die cut and layered a silve panel to match the cake tray. Some lacy ribbon and silver bling complete the look.

This was a fun card to create. I will need a wedding card next month and I think I'll use this cake die for that. I wonder if I can find an itty bitty bride and groom to go on top?!!

Thanks for stopping by today.

blessings,
shelia
